I’m an OG Glossier fan and still have eye pencils left from the discontinued PLAY collection (RIP). This new and improved eye pencil glides on smoothly and ignites my imagination with ways to apply eyeliner with the array of beautiful shades the product comes in. Personally, my favorite shade currently is “Ochre” which is a deep mustard color that pairs perfectly with my coffee skin. — Stixx M, Beauty Editor

These are very juicy. They provide lots of hydration and moisture but still retain the gloss feel while keeping that small tint of color to your natural lip. — Ashlyn Delaney, Hypebae Social Media Coordinator

Being blessed since birth with hooded eyes (thanks, mom!) has severely prevented me from being a viral glam girl. I could never figure out how to properly apply shadow to my eyelids for a symmetrical look, especially one that didn’t dismiss all of the colors I’d spent time on. Lucky for me, a colleague introduced me to Always on Cream Eye Shadow by the one and only Smashbox Cosmetics. As a brown-eyed beauty, I originally opted for “Violet” to make my iris pop. However, after taking a quick look at my complexion and pink tresses, she quickly recommended “Cerulean” instead. With one rich shade and one simple blending brush, I time-traveled back to the ‘80s and became an instant cover star (or at least I hoped). Not only have I discovered that less is more for someone with an eye shape like mine, but I also learned that a little blue never hurt anybody. — Alyssa Ackerman, Hypebae Beauty Social Media Coordinator

Macadamia Hair Nourishing Repair Masque

Nourishing Repair Masque

As a Black woman with locs, I’m very skeptical about using thick products on my hair as they can cause buildup. But, after a breakup led me to spontaneously bleaching my hair, my mane was thirsty for repair. When this product was recommended to me, I was nervous about its thickness. So to counter that, I mixed it with some aloe vera juice, evenly distributed it throughout my locs and let my hair deep condition for thirty minutes. After the clock ran out, I thoroughly rinsed my hair for about 10 minutes — yes, 10, I was not going to acquire loc buildup. At the end of the treatment, my hair was softer than before I even bleached it. Considering it was diluted down to avoid buildup, this was a major win. My hair was left shiny, bouncy and moisturized. I now use it once a month for maintenance. A definite must-cop. – Gigi Fong, Sex and Dating Editor

Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray Anti-Frizz Treatment

I finally caved and tried the TikTok viral hairspray from Color Wow and — WOW. As a newbie to NYC, I wasn’t fully prepared for the summer’s climate impact on my hair, but this product has me sorted. The Dream Coat is a water-repellent hairspray that leaves your hair looking sleek all day, even in humid climates. The no-fuss protection can be applied to wet hair and acts as a “raincoat” for unpredictable weather days. At night, I started applying Color Wow’s Money Mask to enhance my hair texture to the next level. I’d compare the dryness of my 10-years-of-bleaching hair to that of a hay bale. So, while the product directions recommend you apply the mask for three to five minutes, I like to leave it in all night or simply apply it to my tips in the morning for extra hydration through the day. — Cait Monahan, Senior Editor
