Courtesy of Keisuke Otobe.
Acne Studios’ new Distortion Bag has been given a psychedelic makeover thanks to Tokyo-born, Milan-based art photographer Keisuke Otobe.
The new campaign sees Otobe utilize his signature techniques of physical manipulation, flatbed scanning and image scratching in order to emphasize the bag’s distorted silhouette. Furthering Otobe’s partnership with Acne Studios, the photographer is also set to appear in the forthcoming issue of Acne Paper, due for release in November.
Presenting the bag in all new shapes and colorways, the campaign debuts a new micro-shoulder silhouette, adding to the existing range of sizes. Each bag is designed with sharp, slanted angles and a fold-over front flap, complete with a top handle and Acne Studios branding. Alongside the new sizing, the campaign showcases the new hairy cow printed leather and croc patent printed leather iterations.
The new campaign follows the release of Acne Studios’ recent FW22 menswear collection, drawing inspiration from the groovy ’70s era.
The full range of Distortion Bags will be available for purchase from the Acne Studios website, alongside in all Acne Studios stores.
