Lidl Stages London Fashion Week Show Using Household Appliances

Supermarket sleaze is all the rage, haven’t you heard?

Inspired by the fast-approaching London Fashion Week, the nation’s favorite supermarket, Lidl, has staged its very own runway show.

Drawing on the fan favorite “Middle of Lidl” aisle, the showcase aimed to highlight the U.K. store’s most-loved products by taking cues from the aesthetics of high fashion. Making coveted accessories out of its highly sought-after bestsellers — including the sell-out air fryer — the brand’s showcase offers a playful approach to fashion week while signifying the importance of its homeware offering and proving that with enough creativity, anything can become a fashion show.

Inspired by the bizarre fashion couture moments from this season’s calendar (think Viktor&Rolf’s upside-down dresses and Schiaparelli’s animal kingdom,) the Lidl showcase uses its popular middle-aisle products to emulate the unusual styling and accessories of fashion week shows — and we must admit, we’re here for it.

Take a look at Lidl’s fashion show above, and head to your nearest store to purchase this season’s must-have accessories — or uh, appliances.
