Gen Z's Favorite Genderless Period Care Products Launch At Target

The next-gen of period care.

TikTok‘s favorite inclusive and sustainable menstrual care brand, August, is now accessible at Target.

Founded by Gen Z entrepreneur Nadya Okamoto, August is created by Gen Z for all. Okamoto first entered the wellness space at 16 years old after founding a nonprofit surrounding menstrual care. Now, her gender-inclusive products that aimed to be accessible enter Target, further expanding its reach.

Consisting of three Earth-friendly products — pads, liners and tampons — August’s products are plastic-free and made from 100% organic cotton. For context, period care products are notoriously horrible for the environment due to their toxic components. In fact, the average pad made of plastic takes about 500 to 800 years to decompose, research finds. However, with prices ranging from $8.99 USD to $9.99 USD, August hits all of the inclusive and accessible bases.

Okamoto, the co-founder of August shares: “We are thrilled to see our gender-inclusive and sustainable period care products on Target shelves across the country. It’s a significant milestone for our brand and a reflection of the growing demand for more inclusive and environmentally conscious options. We believe everyone who menstruates, regardless of gender, race and socio-economic status, deserves access to safe and effective period care, and we’re excited to continue pushing the industry towards a more equitable and ethical future.”

Shop August on its website and at Target.
