Latto Just Dropped the *Softest* Soft Launch of All Time
The rapper details her “longest” relationship and why she’s so private.
In a recent interview, Latto lets the world into her love life.
After much speculation that the rapper was dating Atlanta rapper 21 Savage, Latto dispelled every rumor — and an asterisk in a new interview subtly spills all the tea. On the lowest-of-keys, the interviewer drops a small hint as to who her lover is: “The two lovebirds have known each other since Latto was a teenager,” confirming she’s dating a high school sweetheart.
A true Capricorn, Latto takes pride in balancing her career and love life, whole holding privacy close. During the conversation, the rapper discusses her strategic methods for keeping her relationship private, but not hidden. “If something is special to me, I’m going to keep it close to me because everything else has to be front and center about my life.”
According to the “Put It On Da Floor” rapper, her high school sweetheart has been to her shows, but they don’t make a habit out of that. “Yes, that’s definitely happened before, but it’s not a consistent thing. I think we find the beauty in separation sometimes because it makes us miss each other… I can’t have people putting two and two together. This is the longest relationship I’ve ever been in.”
It appears the relationship is very healthy as she stated ” People think I’m so tough because I’m super confident and dominant. In this relationship at least, I’m way more comfortable with taking the passenger seat and letting him lead because he lets me be myself—and I can still be my alpha self,” she shared. “But I respect him as a man to play the man role. And I’m really in my soft girl era.”
