Thirteen Lune Is Upgrading Your Skincare in the Sky With American Airlines
Your skin will be skinning 30,000 feet in the air.
It’s no secret that travel can truly wreak havoc on your skin. From the dry air in flight to extreme climate changes, your skin can really take a hit. Unless you’re a die-hard skincare girl with a travel skincare routine and an always-packed pouch of TSA-size-approved products, it can be daunting to think about skincare on an already hectic day. Luckily, Thirteen Lune is collaborating with American Airlines to launch the airline’s first-ever rotating collection of beauty brands to be offered as part of the onboard amenities.
Thirteen Lune is a marketplace that offers several brands created by black and brown beauty founders and will curate exclusive skincare offerings through partnerships. Travelers will enjoy products from well-known brands like Joanna Vargas and Relevant, housed in black and grey pouches with the retailer’s logo on the front.
As part of the collaboration, the duo will be launching a Thirteen Lune specialty kit for those flying in American Airlines premium cabins, which will include the products and a QR code linking to information about the brands, partners and new initiatives. Throughout the upcoming months, the cosmetic companies being offered in the kits will rotate out to showcase the plethora of brands that the marketplace carries.
In addition to the premium cabin kits, the partnership will also consist of limited-edition specialty kits featuring diverse designers and brands based primarily in the U.S. The airline will create unique designs on the pouches to “recognize specific milestones and initiatives that reflect the values and backgrounds of the airline’s customers and team members,” as explained in a press release.
The specialty kits will be available on select flights in American Airlines Flagship First Class, Flagship Business Class and Premium Economy cabins.
