Alo Moves Enters Its Sexual Wellness Era
And it’s *so* worth the hype.
Alo Yoga’s wellness platform, Alo Moves, forays into sexual wellness.
Launching during Sexual Wellness Month, Embodiment is Alo’s new course encouraging sexual wellness for women. For those unfamiliar, “Sexual health goes beyond just sex. It’s about feeling comfortable and in tune with your body, owning your pleasure and being informed about topics that affect your mental and physical wellness,” as the brand shared.
Sexual wellness, a lifestyle for some, has risen to trend level amongst the mainstream, with Sporty & Rich suspected to make a move next. It’s no secret the world is catching on to sexual wellness and a lot of activations give “cash grab” versus actually giving a fuck about your wellness. Alo’s Embodiment is quite the opposite.
For starters, Alo Moves tapped the industry’s favorite experts, from Dr. Kate Balestrieri to Kira Mae Kazuko and Adrienne Everett, for a 15-part course that encourages every facet of sexual wellness.
For wellness girlies, the course is truly as comprehensive as it gets. From yoga classes to a custom journal, each course teaches themes that will elevate your sex life. As Dr. Kate shared with us, “The path to eroticism starts with embodiment and this series helps participants connect with their unique sensual blue print, in a way that fosters vitality, autonomy, excitement and liberation” — essentials for a healthy sex and wellness life.
Essentially, instead of sending you home with buzzy tips on how to please a partner, Embodiment begins with the self, allowing you to “define what sexy means to you,” and create “an embodied truth that will help curate profound pleasure,” Dr. Kate closed.
According to Kazuko, also an Embodiment instructor, “the best benefit” users will feel is the “newfound confidence around sex.” We go through so many amazing topics and meditations — that were once considered taboo — which gives women refreshing access to reflect and expand on all things sex,” she said. ”Whether you’re wanting to gain confidence in the bedroom, or practice healthy conversations with your sexual partner, getting comfy with personal pleasure, releasing shame… Women will leave this series feeling more confident and more attuned to their personal sex life.”
Most importantly, the comprehensive course invites women to reconnect or connect with themselves on a more intimate level, Everett told us. “Through mindful movement and intentional practice, participants will cultivate greater body awareness, flexibility and strength, while enhancing mental clarity and emotional balance. This series empowers women to tap into their inner strength, promoting both physical transformation and a heightened sense of well-being, helping them feel more grounded, confident, and aligned in their daily lives.”
