The NWSL and Dead Dirt are Making Knitwear Jerseys Cool
With bold fashion statements available for all 16 teams.
The NWSL is gearing up for its biggest-ever season, and this year, they’re doing it in style. Teaming up with DMV-based designer and Washington Spirit creative director Domo Wells’ brand Dead Dirt, knitwear jerseys are hitting the streets for every team in the league — and yes, that includes the 2026 newcomers, too. This is one of the league’s biggest fan drops yet, and it is by far the most chic. Turning the heat up on gameday style, these looks are creating a case for the NWSL to be crowned the best-dressed women’s soccer league.
The jerseys all follow a similar template: short sleeves, V-neck collar and soft knitwear that you can wear all year. Each team has its own distinct aesthetic, and Dead Dirt didn’t hold back when bringing those signatures to life. The colorways were spot on, from Kansas City Current’s trademark teal and red, to expansion side Boston Legacy’s already-iconic hot pink and green. Incorporating area codes and emblems into the shirts, this collection is a redefinition of women’s soccer fan culture.
Though Wells only became Washington Spirit’s creative director two years ago, her designs have had a major impact on the league and the sport as a whole. Launching her first league-wide collection, she’s single-handedly turning the NWSL into a fashion lover’s dream. Keep watching this space.
The NWSL x Dead Dirt collection is available to purchase now on the NWSL website and each team’s online store.
