Inspired by the vivid, color-blocked makeup of Swoosh’s sought-after collaboration with Japanese designer Chitose Abe, photographer Jonathon Smith and art director Chloe Chang have produced a playfully sophisticated editorial for HYPEBAE highlighting the now sold-out sneakers. The cinematic and richly hued imagery, peppered with references to Wes Anderson‘s 2014 film The Grand Budapest Hotel, features a gamut of fluorescent green, mustard yellow, scarlet and baby blue that cover the coveted LDWaffles and Blazer Mids.
Designed with double tongues and a midsole that extends past the heel, the former silhouette fuses two iconic Nike models — the Waffle Daybreak and LDV — into a stylish, hybrid shoe that sneakerheads are dying to get their hands on. The Blazer Mid is created with a similar double-themed concept, with the high-top footwear combining elements of the Nike Dunk and Blazer and two sets of laces criss-crossing up the front of the sneaker.
