A quick escape from the city for some rest and relaxation is a must-do for every New Yorker. Trading the hustle and bustle of the city for the silence and stillness of upstate is a must every couple of months and a trip that skateboarder and Brooklyn-born creative Dede Lovelace recently indulged in. With her ride or die, Liv, by her side, the inseparable duo spent the day in the sleepy town of Cold Spring, NY, for a break from the Big Apple.
A day away from NYC was the perfect bestie date for the duo and to dress for the on-the-go occasion, they were suited and booted in SOREL’s new Out N About silhouette, suitable for the day’s versatile vibes, and their transition from their city girl get-ups to their upstate style. Dede and Liv stayed cozy and cute for the fall weather with matching cardigans in navy and burgundy that offset the neutral color palette of their outfits. Beige shades and olive tones take the lead in their looks, however, the Taffy/Black and Honey White/Ceramic colorways of the Out N About boots put the whole look together.
The trip to the charming small town consisted of wholesome activities – from snack stops at buzzy bubble tea spot ROWSEELEE to custom candle making at Mundane, a local candle shop – and outdoor adventures, such as hot girl hikes and walks on Stony Point Beach by the Hudson River. The signature SOREL silhouettes transitioned them from their nature escapades to the local hotspots showcasing the versatility of the kicks.
As they moved around Cold Spring, absorbing the calming atmosphere, the Out N About boots offered them on-the-go ease in classic yet contemporary fashion. While Dede and Liv adopted looks that slightly deviated from their signature skater-girl influences, the SOREL duck boot-inspired silhouettes allowed them to stay true to their sporty style sensibilities. Rocking the wearable shoes while enjoying some R&R, Dede and Liv donned effortless everyday ensembles, consisting of oversized carpenter shorts and midi skirts, fit for the fall season.
