A Closer Look at Nike’s “The 1 Reimagined” Pack: LOVER

The sneaker-mule Air Force 1 is nothing like you’ve ever seen before.

Apart from Jester, another archetype that propelled the design process of Nike‘s “The 1 Reimagined” collection is Lover. Made up of 14 female designers at Nike, the romantic creatives behind the boundary-pushing project have dreamed up two sneaker-inspired silhouettes that are unlike anything on the market.
Injecting a new life into the classic Air Force 1 and Air Jordan 1, the “LOVER XX” duo includes a sneaker-mule hybrid as well as an espadrille-like style. Feminine and carefree, both styles are sure to steal hearts of girls who appreciate an effortlessly cool look. Take a closer look at the both pairs below.
Priced between $120 USD and $130 USD, these two silhouettes will be available for purchase at Nike stores in North America on February 7, and on the SNKRS app on February 9. The worldwide release for the entire “The 1 Reimagined” collection is set for February 16. Be sure to check back for a closer look at the other styles from the range.

Thanks to Nike, we’ve discovered the Air Force 1 slip-ons that we didn’t know we needed. Featuring a backless design, these sneakers-meet-slippers are built with a plush interior. Pink, sparkly details peek through the perforated uppers, adding just the right amount of girliness to the unique silhouette. All these sit atop a stacked midsole which can give you that extra bit of height.

The basketball player-approved Air Jordan 1 has transformed into the perfect sandal for your weekend brunch dates and casual strolls. While the high-top form is kept, the upper has been cut out to create a closed-toe espadrille. Also featuring plush inner lining and iridescent perforations, this pair is rounded off by velcro straps that is embossed with the iconic Air Jordan wings logo.
