Nike's Air Max 180 Gets a "Fire and Ice" Makeover
Are you hot or cold?
Nike‘s retro Air Max 180 silhouette was previously brought back into fashion by luxury label COMME des GARÇONS, and has since gained recognition for its old-school look. Now, the silhouette is getting both a hot and a cold makeover, just in time for fall.
“We see duality in all parts of life, especially in sport. It’s this opposition that creates the love for competition,” said Nike about the “Fire and Ice” release, adding that, “the strongest duality in nature is fire and ice, a concept that has been at the heart of many amazing Nike stories, now told through the sportswear lens from a new angle on the Air 180.” The sneakers come in an icy blue “Ocean Bliss/Metallic Silver-Igloo” colorway, as well as a warm “Black/Team Orange/University Red,” symbolizing the two elements perfectly. Finished off with a thermostat graphic at back, the pack is all about the retro Air Max 180 DNA.
