Lana Del Rey Will Foray into Spoken Word with Upcoming Album
50 percent of its proceeds will benefit Native American organizations.
Lana Del Rey has announced her next album, a compilation of spoken word poetry set to release on January 4. The album will accompany her upcoming book of poetry, the release date of which is still unclear.
Lana took to Instagram with a video announcing the news, sharing that the album will be priced at only a dollar. Additionally, half of its proceeds will go to organizations that benefit Native Americans. “I just really wanted to sort of pay homage to this country that I love so much by doing my own reparation, I guess I would say, my own reparative act,” she said.
The upcoming album follows Norman Fucking Rockwell, nominated for multiple Grammy awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year.
