It wasn’t that long ago when fanny packs were the popular choice of bag among street style enthusiasts, but the most recent Fashion Month saw another handbag style competing for the status of “the new It-bag.” The contender is the handheld, underarm clutch — and not just any clutch, but Bottega Veneta‘s minimalist-chic The Pouch designed by the brand’s new Creative Director, Daniel Lee.
Coming in an oversized shape as well as a mini option, the understated accessory is constructed with a range of different materials and colors. In particular, a number of styles are marked by the Italian brand’s signature, handwoven Intrecciato leather, characterized by its intricate weave pattern.
In our latest editorial shot at the Victorian Hotel in downtown Vancouver, we explore four ways to wear the Bottega Veneta bag this season, with warm weather-styling that features some of our favorite Spring/Summer 2019 pieces from Burberry, Jacquemus, Simone Rocha and more.
