Nike Sets Sail With Air Penny 2 "Atlantic Blue"
Arriving on November 25.
Nike has caught the nostalgia bug as the footwear titan is bringing back the Nike Air Penny 2 to life.
Originally released in 1996 in a “Black Patent” colorway, the sneaker is now enjoying a brighter shade, arriving in “Atlantic Blue.” Utilizing a white base, the sculptural shoe is outfitted with blue suede around the eyestays, ankle and tongue, as well as its wavy rubber outsole, mimicking the sea to which the color owes its name. A white phylon midsole mirrors a shark’s razor sharp fin with its ribbed texture. A “Metallic Silver” bubble encases a black Swoosh, while the Hardaway “1 Cent” logo appears on the collar and heel branding.
The Nike Air Penny 2 “Atlantic Blue” will be available on November 25 via Nike and select retailers for $200 USD.
