This New AR App Is Made for Black Women Everywhere
Beauty brand Black Radiance is launching into tech in a meaningful way.
Black Radiance is known as a leading beauty brand for women of color, but its latest launch has been a well-kept secret – until now. The brand is launching into tech, introducing its first augmented reality app, Beyond Radiant, offering an immersive AR experience where Black women can be inspired and see themselves as the protagonists of their own stories.
At the heart of the program are four avatars: The Boss Babe, The Champ, The Creator, and The Innovator. These avatars are inspired by the dedication and imagination of trailblazers like NASA astronaut Jessica Watkins and record-breaking ice skater Starr Andrews, created to tell stories of ambition and success. They serve as a bridge between generations, encouraging users to embrace their unique beauty, strength, while fostering a sense of connection and representation.
The powerful app utilizes a personality quiz that adapts questions depending on the previous answer to help you discover your own avatar, immersing users into a digital cosmos surrounded by those four avatars inspired by Black trailblazers.
Beyond being made for Black women, it is also Black-run, headed up by Sherry West, the Brand Marketing Manager of Black Radiance.
Available to download now from Apple and Android stores, the beauty brand’s press team exclusively confirmed that Starr Andrews will be in attendance at the reveal of Beyond Radiant’. This is definitely one to watch.
