Jorts, aka “jean shorts”, are once again back into the summer trend cycle and this time around, it appears that many of us are a lot more accepting of the ’90s-style silhouette. Quickly becoming a streetwear mainstay, the now-coveted denim short style is one that we’ve been seeing more and more on our streets and feeds, frequently worn by it-girls like Hailey Bieber, Bella Hadid, Maya Jama, Dua Lipa and Kendall Jenner. Basically what we’re saying is, if you haven’t already — it’s time to accept it: jorts are back, baby.
Typically categorized as a slightly longer denim short, the classic jort is now available in a variety of high-rise, mid-waist and low-waist styles. That said, I think we can all agree that no matter your waist preference, one thing is for sure when it comes to the humble jort: the baggier the better.
