Nike's New Air Force 1 High Utility "White/Light Cream" Contains a Hidden Message for the Ladies
Hint: the Force is definitely female.
Having already seen Sacai‘s unique take on the Air Force 1 High (complete with moccasin fringe and all), Nike now adds yet another rework to its growing lineup of the silhouette. Introducing its latest “Utility” rendition of the AF1 High, the iconic model is elevated with uniquely singular details. Constructed out of premium white leather, the upper is decorated with a cream-colored Swoosh on the side panel that is complemented by a color-matching midsole. To contrast the light tones, an AF-1 heel tab is rendered in black that also extends downwards with an undulating strip of fabric. Black elements are further found in the piping found at the ankle’s entry point, as well as the tongue which includes a tag with “trademark” text.
Upon closer inspection, the most eye-catching aspect of the sneaker is the “FORCE” VELCRO® patch. When attached, it appears to be typical branding found on many special edition AF1 models. However, once the patch is removed, it reveals the words “FEMALE.” As part of Nike’s ongoing “Force Is Female” campaign, femme sneakerheads are sure to be delighted in adding this slick release to their footwear rotations.
Additionally, Nike has revealed new iterations of the AF1 silhouette. A few of the models come with high-top detailing, while other pairs feature a low-top design. The high-top version comes in black, a peach hue and also a forest green tone. The low-top trainers are set to arrive in black, white and also dark green.
The new Nike Air Force 1 High Utility “White/Light Cream” is slated to drop on Friday, November 2 at select stockists such as Feature. Stay tuned for release details on the recently unveiled iterations, check them out in the gallery below.
