UPDATE: COMME des GARÇONS newly created CDG line has officially launched online. The collection is currently available for purchase at the line’s official web store. The pricing for the array of apparel and accessories starts at $52 USD.
In celebration of COMME des GARÇONS‘ 40th anniversary, Rei Kawakubo unveils the latest line of apparel and accessories from CDG. The new collection features the CDG logo on a variety of classic separates.
Staple pieces in the range include coach jackets which are created with large CDG branding on the back. The range of accessories features logo-heavy backpacks, a PVC tote, a mini messenger bag and more. In particular, we are really into the outerwear pieces, which look a bit like long lab-coats, one comes in white, while another comes in blue. Additional standouts which round out the collection are the numerous logo T-shirts which appear in white and black.
A standalone CDG online shop will launch on November 1 including all items in the collection. Prior to the digital release, physical COMME des GARÇONS (Paris, Hong Kong, and Seoul) and CDG storefronts alongside Dover Street Market Beijing, London, Los Angeles, New York, and Singapore will launch the collection on October 27. Two brick-and-mortar CDG stores in Japan will open to the public on the aforementioned date.
