Nike‘s always-classic silhouette, the Air Max 97, recently dropped in a bold hue of “Hyper Jade” but if you thought it couldn’t possibly get any brighter; you’re wrong. Now, the sneaker has been unveiled in a shade of yellow so bold it reminds us only of one thing – New York City’s famous taxis.
The mixed-material upper is seen entirely in the vibrant “Bright Citron” yellow tone, which takes over the wavy leather and textile panels that snake across the shoe. To contrast, the design details like a tiny Swoosh and Nike text on the lateral side arrive in black, as do the laces and the Air Max branded pull tab that’s woven across the tongue and heel. Completing the standout look is the black and yellow layered midsole with visible Air Max cushioning sandwiched in between.
One thing’s for sure, you won’t go unnoticed in these vivid trainers – you can cop the yellow Air Max 97 from select Nike accounts on December 1 for $170 USD. For a more demure look, why not check out the same sneakers in “Barely Green?”
