Calling All Minimalists, Nike's Newest Air Max 98 Is a Demure Delight

2018 marks the 20th anniversary of Nike’s Air Max 98 silhouette and in honor of this landmark occasion, the brand is unleashing a whole new range of colorways upon the iconic sneaker.
This new version is worlds away from the ”Gundam” re-release, especially in terms of color palette. The mesh and leather upper is reworked in white and creamy light yellow tones throughout and a slim reflective silver band runs the whole way along the middle. Elements of black break up the otherwise neutral look and can be seen on the Swoosh details on the lateral and midfoot, as well as on the Air Max branding on the tongue.The minimal upper sits atop a full-size air unit and is completed by a black outsole and “AIR” text branding on the heel.
