SZA & Kendrick Lamar Get Into a Kung Fu Fight in Her New Music Video
“Doves In The Wind” features a TDE showdown.
SZA has released a new video for her CTRL track, “Doves In The Wind,” featuring TDE labelmate, Kendrick Lamar. SZA looks to challenge Lamar for a spot as the kung fu master, but first must endure a series of tests. As she rides through the desert landscape via horseback she encounters a few of his minions who he sends out while perched on a cliff top.
After narrowly defeating the henchmen, she finally has the opportunity to challenge Lamar himself. The battle begins with Kendrick matching her every move and eventually causing her to fall. She returns from the setback and responds with her own powerful hits. For the martial arts-themed visual, SZA swaps her traditional curly hair for a sleek middle-part look and dons a floor-length kimono with killer eye liner to pair.
