Based on the bestselling book by Jonathan Safran Foer, the film is a look at the factory farming, examining the environmental, economic and health consequences of the harsh industry. Focusing on the exploitation of animals, usage of unnatural antibiotics and hormones, as well as the pollution it creates, the documentary traces the history of food production in the U.S.
