The Sneaker Edit: New Spring-Ready Picks From Vans, Nike and More
All about bold colors.
In our second installment of “The Sneaker Edit,” a new weekly series rounding up the top sneakers worth copping, we’ve tallied up notable picks by Nike, Vans and more. Must-haves include Nike’s Air Max 97 SE in the colorway “Obsidian,” the ASICS Gel-DS Trainer OG in “Pastel Green/Grey” and the Vans Vault OG Style 43 LX Spring 2018 pack.
We’re really into the three new colorways, offered in the Vans Vault pack. In the aforementioned range, the following hues are available: “Red Orange/Marshmallow,” “Mustard/Marshmallow” and “Smoke Blue/Marshmallow.” Each arrives with a higher-cut midsole and clean, white lacing. Look to these comfortable sneakers for your long weekends out and about during the breezy summer months. One major detail includes stitching at the heel which allows for them to be worn “slipper style.” On the newly-released Nike Air Max 97, the upper is constructed in a bold white and blue. An additional standout is the custom pull tab on the tongue with repeated Nike branding. Pair this up with a pair of on-trend track pants.
For all the pastel lovers, the Gel-DS Trainer OG in “Pastel Green/Grey” arrives with a dual-colored mesh upper, tonal lacing and a white midsole. The design would pair perfectly with a distressed denim and an ombré purse by Chanel. Other picks include all-new Air Max 1 and Cortez iterations.
