Too Faced's Better Than Sex Mascara Just Got a Whole New Look – and a New Name

It’s called “Better Then Birthday Sex.”

Time flies when you’re having fun with makeup. This year marks the 20th anniversary since Too Faced first launched, and in celebration of the milestone, the beauty brand is releasing a range of limited-edition products. Dreamed up by founders of Too Faced, Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson, the “Cheers to 20 Years” collection is inspired by some of the company’s iconic, original products that are revamped for the present day.

An item that instantly caught our eye is the Then & Now Eyeshadow Palette ($59 USD). Not only is the brand bringing back its 10 original eyeshadows in an updated formula, it has also designed 10 new shades — including pearl, matte and shimmery hues — that pay homage to the originals. The collection also features 10 creamy Metallic Sparkle Lipsticks ($22 USD each) inspired by the original Too Faced lippies that launched back in 1998. Finally, the cult-favorite Better Than Sex Mascara ($24 USD) has received a special birthday makeover. While keeping its usual formula, the product is all dolled up in glittery packaging and it even has a cheeky new name, “Better Than Birthday Sex.”

The collection will be launching online at Sephora and toofaced.com on August 2, and in-stores at Sephora locations beginning August 3. For those who simply can’t wait, you can now shop items from the range exclusively on the Sephora mobile app.

While you’re at it, take a look at our latest beauty editorial which spotlights Too Faced’s Melted Matte-Tallic lipsticks.
