Urban Decay Is Discontinuing Its Iconic Naked Palette
R.I.P.
Yes, you read that right. Urban Decay‘s cult favorite eyeshadow palette, the iconic and first of many Naked palettes is being discontinued. As the beauty world mourns, the label has released an obituary for the beloved makeup palette that changed eyeshadow forever, saying goodbye to the iconic classic. After eight long years, Urban Decay has decided to stop producing the palette and has tapped beauty influencers like Kandee Johnson, Christen Dominique, Shayla Mitchel and more, as well as Nicole Richie, who reads an eulogy to the unforgettable Naked original.
Get your waterproof mascara on, and get ready to cry your eyes out. “It was a big moment in our history. It’s a little painful to leave your past behind, but it’s also essential to always evolve. I will forever miss Naked, but we plan to turn the grief into even more greatness. Urban Decay will continue to thrive in Naked’s memory and honor — just wait and see,” said the label’s founder, alluding to the fact that there’s a lot more coming from UD in the upcoming years.
If you’re looking to get your hands on the palette before it is gone forever, Sephora still has a few in stock at a sale price of $33 USD. Peep the video above, and mourn the demise.
