adidas x Raf Simons Transform Archive Sneakers Into New Adilette Slides
There’s a selection of Stan Smiths, too.
adidas x Raf Simons collaborations have been amongst some of the most coveted designer sneakers in the past few years, and now fans have the chance to cop even more from the duo. Inspired by the French painting technique, trompe-l’œil, the selection of slides and Stan Smiths feature distinctly arty uppers that will ensure you stand out from the crowd.
There are five sneakers from the adidas Originals archive which have been reimagined by Raf in that optical illusion-style; the Peachtree, the Micropacer, the L.A. Trainer, The Torsion Conquest Super and the Samba. The archival shoes were photographed and 3D-modeled, with the imagery warped to fit the silhouhettes of the RS Stan Smith and RS Adilette slides, each taking on the name of the shoe it’s upper is patterned with.
