Ari Lennox Confirms Release Date for Debut Album, 'Shea Butter Baby'
The Dreamville songbird delivers soulful sounds for the summer.
Ari Lennox has finally confirmed a release date for her highly-anticipated debut album, Shea Butter Baby. The LP will be 12 tracks long including Creed II soundtrack standout “Shea Butter Baby.” Along with a May release date the DMV songstress dropped a new single “Up Late” which features melodies from Masego. The album’s cover art is a portrait of Lennox with her hair styled in a curly updo to pair with a vintage showgirl look. The tracks of her album are cleverly numbered using the curly hair typing system. Tracks like “Whipped Cream” and “Facetime” are sure to be favorites for the spring season.
Fans can preorder Shea Butter Baby now ahead of its May 7 release. Listen to “Up Late” above and preview more album and tour details below.
