YUME YUME's Ready-To-Wear Debut Is "Puffy" and Gender-Bending

Titled “Dramatic Poetry.”

YUME YUME, known for its avant-garde footwear, has expanded into ready-to-wear fashion for Fall/Winter 2023 with its “Dramatic Poetry” collection, featuring eight styles that reflect the Amsterdam-based label’s use of innovative materials and unique silhouettes.

The “Dramatic Poetry” gender-neutral lineup includes diverse styles, such as a wide-shoulder boxy puffer blazer with a lace-up back, a long dress with an open back and drop-waist taffeta skirt, an oversized shirt dress with voluminous sleeves, a dramatic cut-out mini dress, all-in-one pants with Fisherman boots, a supersize mushroom-shaped brim bucket hat and a trench coat and pants with intricate ruched and pleated details.

Eva Korsten, YUME YUME’s Co-Founder and Creative Director, shared: “With YUME YUME, we started with footwear and are now stepping into ready-to-wear to ultimately offer complete looks. It is a direct translation of the brand’s core. The DNA is visible and recognizable. We use our key features, puffiness and vegan leather materials, as the foundation of the collection. The Fall/Winter 2023 season is a starting point, the base. From here, we will build and explore different perspectives every season.”

You can find the “Dramatic Poetry” collection on YUME YUME’s website.
