Skin Musk Is Old News — So Bratz and Boy Smells Created a Doll Skin Musk

Featuring actual notes of plastic.

Cult-favorite perfume brand Boy Smells just dropped a collaboration with the Bratz. Drawing inspiration from the classic skin musk fragrance profile, Boy Smells and the Bratz set out to create the first-ever “doll skin musk.” Whether you’re a fan of the dolls with a passion for fashion or Boy Smells’ coveted gender-neutral scents, the body mist is making it easier than ever to smell like a Bratz doll.

Described by the brand as “a surrealist floral fantasy,” the “Doll Skin Take It Or Leave It” Body Mist is ideal for finishing off your usual perfume combo or being worn on its own. With a strawberry top note, the scent starts out sweet and girly. Afterwards, middle notes of vanilla orchid add a romantic and fresh touch — then, base notes of plastic doll accord linger after application. Smelling like plastic may seem strange, but the plastic doll accord note has become a recent favorite in nostalgic-themed perfumes for delivering a powdery scent with a subtle touch of plastic. Or, “plastique chic” as the brand calls it.

Just like the rest of Boy Smells’ travel mists, the “Doll Skin” Body Mist is formulated to last long, while its compact packaging makes it extremely convenient for on-the-go touch ups. The Bratz scent in particular is available in a full size bottle and a mini one, or in a bundle with both.

The Bratz “Doll Skin Take It Or Leave It” Body Mist retails for $38 USD for eight ounces $24 USD for three ounces — both sizes are available for purchase on the brand’s website.
