The Dr. Woo x Converse Collaboration Features Intricate Detailing

The Chuck 70 gets a revamp.

Today Converse announces its collaboration with tattoo artist Dr. Woo. In the collection, the beloved Chuck 70 design is reimagined with the vibrant aesthetics the artist is well-known for.

Dr. Woo shares that he has worn the iconic silhouette through his life and describes it as an always relevant sneaker. He also explains in a statement that he used to, “draw all over Chucks, tear ‘em up. I tried to hold on to old pairs, but they always seemed to vanish like my youth.” The Chuck 70 gets reimagined and appears in both black and white with embroidered detailing throughout. In addition to embroidery, we see detailing of a fly on the toe cap and spiders with webs. The design directly correlates to the age-old story of the spider eating a fly.

The collaboration will retail at $180 USD and will be available at a private event at Maxfield LA on January 20. The sneakers will be personally signed, numbered and tattooed by Dr. Woo himself.
