Selena Gomez Has Designed Her First Collection for PUMA

Titled “Strong Girl,” the upcoming collab is all about female empowerment.

As one of PUMA‘s brand ambassadorsSelena Gomez has recently designed her very first collection for the sportswear giant. Drawing inspiration from the legacies of strong women throughout history, the collaborative range titled “Strong Girl” (a play on the singer-slash-actress’ initials) features a variety of classic pieces created for girls everywhere. Of course, fans can expect to see nods to Selena’s personal style weaved into the entire collection.

“Strength is something I try to own every day,” the “Back to You” artist is quoted in a press release. “I wanted to create a collection that makes women feel sexy, empowered, and strong. I love every piece that I designed and hope it inspires others to find their inner strong girl.”

Among the upcoming apparel and footwear styles is the SG Runner, a brand new sneaker designed by none other than Selena Gomez herself. Featuring a knitted upper and high rebound EVA, the lightweight silhouette is not only comfortable to wear, but its ’80s/’90s-inspired design also makes it a stylish addition to your everyday closet. There’s also the DEFY Mid x SG training shoe, which sees a boot-like shape and a textured knitted upper completed with a metal buckle, a rose-gold plated chain.

To showcase the collection, Selena Gomez and PUMA have tapped a dynamic group of ladies to front the campaign. These women include the singer’s real-life close friends Connar FranklinRaquelle StevensCourtney J. BarryCaroline Franklin and Theresa Marie Mingus. The SG x PUMA “Strong Girl” collection will be launching on December 12 online at puma.com and in-store at select retailers worldwide.
