ALYX Studios Introduces ALYX Visual
A collection of garments made with upcycled cotton yarn from pre-loved clothing.
Streetwear label ALYX has just released its new line, ALYX Visual, kicking off with a brand-new three T-shirt pack. The collection is a capsule of garments made by upcycled, cotton-rich yarn coming from pre-owned clothing, and has the intention of reducing waste while still providing high-quality garments. Working with Recover Tex, the collection uses an up-cycled textile system that is next to waterless and chemical-free, which is “better for the world, better for you.”
ALYX’s creative director, Matthew Williams, explains:
“We started our recycled cotton program with our FW17 collection. We just want to do our part to decrease our carbon footprint and produce less and less waste in the world, as this is of extreme importance. We want to spread awareness now through this idea and ourVisual collections, in hopes that others will follow suit.”
The T-shirt pack includes tees in white, grey and black, complete with a tiny “A” logo to align with the signature ALYX branding. Available online over at alyxstudio.com, the three-pack retails at $185 USD. The full collection will be available starting February 26, and will hit select retailers on March 1.
