Nike's Air VaporMax Plus Just Dropped in Two Colorful Sherbet Sunset Tones
Which will you pick?
Air Max Month is still in full swing and Nike seems to be dropping more silhouettes than ever. Following on from its Frankenstein silhouette that combines together elements of both the Air VaporMax and Air Max Plus styles in a blue and light green gradient, it’s dropping the same sneaker in two bold ombré tones.
First up, the hybrid sneaker is arriving in “Sherbet” with a black exoskeleton that encases the low-top upper. Taking on the Air Max Plus’ signature waves, the black cage extends tentacle-like over the midfoot, meeting at the laces. Underneath this lies a sunset-tinted upper that turns from a deep orange around the heel to a hot pink towards the toe. A black mini Swoosh sits on the lateral side and branding on the tongue and a heel tab complete the look. The sneaker sits atop a black VaporMax sole with a splash of orange on the center.
The next colorway, “Reverse Sunset,” follows the exact same shape, however in place of black, this version has a white-tone midsole and clean caged detailing throughout. The soft upper this time is swathed in vibrant, sherbet orange hue that fades toward the middle before turning into a fluorescent yellow shade at the heel. A white mini Swoosh and branding finishes this sneaker, which rests upon a transparent Air VaporMax sole.
You can shop both versions at retailers like Overkill for €210 EUR each (approx. $260 USD) from March 29. For a more subdued look, why not check out the sneaker in a pared-back “Wolf Grey” tone.
