Meet the freshest of them all.
Much like blue jeans and basic T-shirts, white sneakers are a must-have in every girl’s wardrobe. For the longest time, my go-to pair had been adidas Originals‘ Stan Smith‘s in the OG white and green colorway. They’re my beaters and I still wear them all the time despite the shoes looking a bit worn-out. However, I knew I had to pick up a fresh new pair to update my collection for the spring season. In came Nike‘s Air Max 95 in “Triple White.”
There’s something about “Triple White” and “Triple Black” kicks that make them ever so appealing. Like many, I’m a sucker for clean and sleek colorways, so it was a no brainer for me to get my hands on this all-white silhouette. The minimalist color palette makes the shoes extremely versatile and easy to style with any outfit. And before I knew it, I’ve been basically rocking these shoes daily for the past two months.
Read on for my full review of the retro runner and learn why you should cop a pair for yourself, too.
THE SHOE: Nike Air Max 95 “Triple White”
OUR REVIEW: The Air Max 95 has been released in numerous colorways over the years, but none allows you to appreciate the sneaker in its purist form better than the white-on-white colorway. Swoosh fans would know that this shoe is actually the first-ever Air Max sneaker that’s built with Visible Air unit in the forefoot, which explains the iconic, futuristic look of the sole unit. The wavy details on the side panel also add to the overall stylish feel of the lifestyle sneaker. And for someone like myself who’s on the petite side, the chunky sole can really help add a little bit of height. It’s an amazing footwear option if you’re not particularly fond of walking around in heels.
It could be just me, but I think that these trainers do look better when they’re kept nice and fresh. So, I wouldn’t suggest wearing these to anywhere that can easily get the shoes dirty. That just isn’t a wise move. Watch out especially for the mesh panels and laces, as they’re harder to clean compared to the patent leather material on the upper. I typically give the runners a gentle wipe every time after I use them. Admittedly, they’re a little high maintenance, but that’s what you got to do when you find a pair of shoes you genuinely love.
VERDICT: COP
BUY: Purchase a pair in your size for approximately $169 USD at select Nike stockists like Footasylum Women’s.
