The Sneaker Edit: New Spring-Ready Sneakers Include Nike's Air Skylon II
Featuring a colorful gradient fade accent.
In this week’s installment of The Sneaker Edit, our editor-approved sneaker roundup, we count on Nike, adidas Originals and Acne Studios. Colorful standouts which we’ve had our eye on recently include Nike’s Air Skylon II in two colorways and adidas Originals’ Ultra Tech arriving in “Real Lilac.”
The Air Skylon II which originally released in the ’90s as a running trainer, is currently available in “Blue Lagoon/Grand Purple,” and “Court Purple/Solar Red.” All pairs come with a vintage-inspired gradient accent. Style either of these with a bum bag for a throwback look. Offering up another vibrant footwear selection for your summer months is the Ultra Tech “Real Lilac,” which just dropped and comes with bright detailing in teal and purple. Another standout is the new Nike Air Force 1 which includes a bright blue upper and 3D Chenille Swoosh in black and grey.
If you’re into futuristic-style sneakers, look no further than the Nike React Vapor Street Flyknit in “White/Wolf Grey.” A significant detail is the large branded Swoosh on the lateral side. Throw on these workout sneakers with a set from Outdoor Voices’ OV Running collection. Additional picks include Acne Studios’ relaxed Jimmy sneaker and Nike’s Air Max 180 in “Black/Pink Blast.
In the gallery above, take a look at Nike’s Air Force 1 Low featuring a 3D chenille Swoosh. There’s currently no word yet on its release. Below click through our other picks along with purchase details.
