Pharrell Debuts His Anticipated Collaboration With Chanel

Following several teasers over the past months, Pharrell has finally debuted his upcoming Chanel collaboration. Unsurprisingly titled “Chanel Pharrell,” the range includes a range of bright hoodies and T-shirts, statement accessories, diamond jewelry and of course, luxury bags. Featuring heavy co-branding, embroidery and hand-drawn text and doodles, the range merges Pharrell’s signature playful aesthetic with Chanel’s classic luxury, resulting in the ultimate collaboration.
In addition to the apparel and accessories, sneakers are also included in the range featuring the same hand-drawn graphics. We’re also seeing co-branded loafers and slides, ideal to add to your summer rotation. One of the T-shirts from the collection also references a personal anecdote from Pharrell, who once did a bet saying he’d never work with Chanel. After losing the bet, he opted to print his response to his friend on the piece.
Adding to the lookbook, the creative also released a behind-the-scenes video of the anticipated collection. In the short video, Pharrell touches on everything from gender-fluidity to meeting the late Karl Lagerfeld, as well as why the number 5 was a huge influence throughout the range.
