Check out Pikachu in This New Trailer for the Upcoming 'Pokémon' Movie

Unveiled by Ryan Reynolds.

We’re less than two months away from the release of Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Ahead of the debut of the widely anticipated film, Ryan Reynolds has shared a clip featuring the beloved character.

Originally shared on Reynold’s Twitter account, the video features Pikachu and displays his ability to talk in addition to his jokey personality. Throughout the clip, he is seen alongside his companion Tim (Justice Smith) who is seemingly a regular teenager. Later in the video, the Pokémon showcases his Quick Attack move in one part of the video as he’s jumping and bouncing from one parade balloon to another. One standout part of the teaser shows him getting his belly rubbed by Lucy (Kathryn Newton).

Detective Pikachu hits theaters on May 10. Take a look at the entire clip in the gallery above.

While you’re here, take a look at the official trailer for Pokémon:Detective Pikachu which released back in November.
