Mansur Gavriel Unveils Whimsical Collab With Global Artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz
Featuring wallpaper-inspired prints.
Mansur Gavriel has teamed up with world-renowned contemporary artist Marc Camille Chaimowicz to launch its first-ever design collaboration. The Spring/Summer 2019 limited-edition capsule includes four of the brand’s classic handbag styles in calf and vegetable-tanned leather. The pieces are set to be available in three prints created by Chaimowicz.
The lineup features three styles including the Mini Bucket Bag, the Top Handle Rounded Bag, the Large Tote and the Moon Wallet styles. Presented in a signature Chaimowicz pastel palette, each piece is constructed with allover surface prints speaking to the artist’s beloved wallpaper designs.
In an official statement, designers Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel share more on the collaboration:
“We are honored to collaborate with an artist whose work we feel so close to. Our collaboration with Marc Camille Chaimowicz was conceived by a common love of color, textile and form. We are very inspired by Marc’s work and his use of color and pattern felt a natural fit with our materials and clean shapes.”
The capsule collection will launch online at mansurgavriel.com, in Mansur Gavriel’s Wooster Street and Melrose Place stores in addition to launching at Liberty London on Friday, April 26. Take a look at the range in the gallery above.
