Keith Haring's Signature Designs Find a New Canvas on Louis Vuitton Bags
Featuring on the brand’s latest Artycapucines collection.
Keith Haring’s signature figures are getting a luxury makeover. For the latest chapter of Louis Vuitton’s Artycapucines collection, the house teamed up with the late New York artist’s foundation to transform 13 Capucines bags in Haring’s instantly recognizable visual language.
The eighth edition of the series pairs Haring’s dancing figures, Radiant Baby, animals and graphic symbols with Louis Vuitton’s intricate savoir-faire. The result sees the artist’s bold imagery translated through everything from leather marquetry and embroidery to laser-printing and hand-set embellishment.
Among the standout pieces is the Capucines Nano Running Heart, a silver-tone minaudière covered in more than 12,000 hand-set strass to recreate Haring’s iconic heart motif. Elsewhere, the Capucines East-West Mini Maze uses thousands of individually applied beads to bring one of his hypnotic compositions to life, while the Capucines BB Figures frames his colourful Dancing Figures against pristine white Taurillon leather.
The collaboration follows Nicolas Ghesquière’s Cruise 2027 collection, which also explored Haring’s work through a series of garments and accessories presented at New York’s Frick Collection.
Since launching in 2019, Artycapucines has seen more than 35 artists reinterpret the bags. Haring’s edition continues that conversation between contemporary art and craftsmanship, with all 13 designs arriving in Louis Vuitton stores worldwide from January 1, 2027.
