Instagram's Explore Page Just Got a New Look
The updated feature allows you to directly shop and view IGTV.
Earlier this month, Instagram began hiding its Likes feature in Canada, now the social media platform has launched a newly designed Explore page. The latest additions to the frequently used section include shortcuts for Shopping and IGTV broken down into topic channels like “Food,” “Design” and “Travel.”
According to an official press release, a more diverse array of content in the grid is now live. The Explore grid will soon include Instagram Stories from people you potentially care about in addition to photos, videos and shopping posts. A more immersive shopping and video experience has also been added. By tapping “Shop,” you can view category filters that allow you to search for specific types of products spanning beauty, clothing, home decor and more.
The release also shares that by investing heavily in Explore, Instagram furthers its goal of making this page a top online destination for users’ interests. Data has proven that it is used by more than half of the accounts on the app every month.
