A Closer Look at adidas' x Raf Simons' Pink and Metallic Silver RS Ozweego
Talk about a statement sneaker.
adidas‘ partnership with Belgian designer Raf Simons has produced some killer trainer styles over the past six years that truly merge the high-fashion and sportswear worlds into one. Their latest collaborative RS Ozweego lineup however fully embodies the the idea of a statement sneaker and it’s definitely not for the wallflowers out there as we discover when we take a closer look at the silhouette.
The leather and textile upper arrives in a sweet pastel bubblegum pink tone, with a matching sockliner and complimentary laces too. The subtle panel detailing on the sides adds some additional depth to the bulky kicks and silver Raf Simons text branding lands on the tongue. The unmissable, metallic silver midsole is the real talking point however. It extends above the usual midsole height, adding a mirror-like effect to almost half the height of the sneaker itself. The reflective panel wraps around the entire perimeter of the shoe, surprisingly without making it really any heavier than a regular chunky shoe, and completing the look is a sturdy black rubber outsole.
