You Don't Even Have to Hold Google's Pixel 4 with Its New Motion Sensors

The future is here.

With the latest launch of Google‘s Pixel 3a and 3a XL, the technology company went ahead and divulged an image of its upcoming Pixel 4 on Twitter last month. This week, another leak has surfaced on Google’s YouTube channel teasing the brand new functions of its upcoming model that features Motion Sense gestures and face unlock.

Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects team (ATAP) has been perfecting its motion-sensing radar for the past five years, which is the same technology that has been used for decades to detect planes and other large objects. The Pixel 4 has been incorporated with a miniature version of that technology that senses small motions allowing you to skip songs, snooze alarms, and silence phone calls without having to actually touch the screen.

Its face unlock feature is quite self-explanatory. However, according to Google, its version is more user-friendly and responsive. Unlike the iPhone’s face detection function, the Pixel 4’s face unlock sensors are able to detect its user’s face as soon as the phone is being picked up. That way, you won’t have to wait for it to unlock and swipe to get to your homescreen.

Take a look at the video above and see what’s in store for the upcoming Google Pixel 4. In the meantime, did you hear that Apple’s 2020 iPhones will reportedly support 5G?
