Take an Official Look at the Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v4 Collection

Slated for release this month.

Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have become experts in creating cult-loved sneaker collaborations, with the duo’s recent 650 “STUNTMAN” drop already at the top of every sneakerhead’s wishlist. Now, the Chicago-based designer is back with another NB special, inspired by Hype Williams’ 1998 American crime drama, Belly.

Teased via Instagram in November, Freshgoods shared a look at the three upcoming colorways through a caption which read, “Intro & Keisha Blue & Outro 1998.” The new line-up features two black and white colorways (Intro and Outro), alongside the “Keisha Blue” which boasts a sleek blue finish.

In signature Freshgoods fashion, the kicks feature a fusion of materials, mixing mesh, suede and leather across each upper, paired with the classic “JFG” logo on the lateral heel. Elsewhere, the shoes also feature “1998” lettering on the back, alongside the signature “Made in the U.S.A.” marking.

Along with the footwear silhouettes, Freshgoods’ forthcoming New Balance collaboration is set to include several apparel items inspired by streetwear styles featured in Williams’ film.

Take a closer look at the official images above, with the new pairs set for release on December 22.

In other footwear news, GANNI and Dr. Marten’s new boots are worth fighting for.
