NikeSKIMS Is Going Archival With a New Waffle Racer
Dropping alongside the “Retro Sport” apparel collection.
NikeSKIMS is taking its aesthetic beyond the pilates studio, officially unveiling its reimagined Nike Waffle Racer alongside a full “Retro Sport” collection.
Marking a major milestone in the partnership’s growing footwear lineup, the collaboration redesigns the 1970s runner while keeping its signature low-profile shape and waffle traction intact. Launching with subtle updates across the tongue, heel and sockliner, the silhouette arrives in three two-tone colorways that bridge track and field heritage with elevated, modern style.
“The Waffle Racer is one of those shoes I’ve always come back to. It’s so easy to wear and never goes out of style,” shared Kim Kardashian in a press release. “We wanted to preserve everything people love about the original while bringing a distinct NikeSKIMS perspective to it, creating something that feels timeless, elevated and relevant for today.”
To accompany the low-top runners, NikeSKIMS is dropping its Retro Sport apparel capsule, tapping straight into vintage athletic nostalgia. The drop debuts heavyweight “Vintage Sport Fleece” in relaxed silhouettes, new lace-up and contrast-trim variations within the Matte range and fresh outerwear including hooded puffers, puffer wraps and half-zip coach jackets. Blending body-contouring cuts with slouchy, layered staples, the capsule rounds out an effortless cold weather uniform.
The NikeSKIMS Waffle Racer will be available to purchase November 10 on the Nike and SKIMS websites, followed by the Retro Sport apparel release on November 17.
