Verdy's Girls Don't Cry Adds Hearts to the Beats Flex
Dressed in blue and red.
For its latest collaboration, Beats by Dre has tapped Girls Don’t Cry — the Tokyo-based label founded by multi-hyphen creative Verdy.
Channeling the signature aesthetics of his brand, Verdy has dressed the Beats Flex in a vibrant blue hue, adding a touch of contrast with Girls Don’t Cry’s recognizable branding. The imprint’s signature logo appears on the wireless earphones’ control module, which comes with a built-in microphone. Highlighting the design is a bold red heart charm on the right side of the cable, while the headphones are complete with Beats’ logo in red on the earbuds.
“I’m really happy to work on the Beats Flex earphones because it’s my wife’s favorite style. We’ve made a friends-and-family version in the past, so I’m really excited to release this special colorway to the public,” Verdy spoke of the collaboration in a press release.
The Beats Flex comes with magnetic earbuds while offering one-tap Audio Sharing for easy syncing with other Beats headphones or Apple’s AirPods. It boasts 12 hours of listening time, taking 10 minutes to charge for 1.5 hours of playback whenever the battery level is low.
Peep the headphones in a campaign starring Jasmine Daniels down below, where the model is seen listening to Koteri’s “Something I Need.” Priced at $69.99 USD, the Girls Don’t Cry x Beats Flex will launch at Girls Don’t Cry’s store and Dover Street Market on April 1.
