JW Anderson's New "Studs" Collection Reimagines the '80s Male Pin-Up

Early 2000s Hollister bags could never.

JW Anderson‘s newest collection draws from the brand’s Milan Fashion Week presentation earlier this year, centring around a welcome theme of vintage male models.

Not a far cry from the old-school Hollister bags we’d carry our sports kits in, the new collection sees a multitude of glistening male torsos adorn T-shirts, vests, polo shirts, hoodies and shorts, alongside a series of accessories. The eighties-inspired figures appear “strategically cropped, enlarged and emblazoned” on a selection of pieces, pictured crouching and ready to embrace their wearer.

Alongside the capsule’s ready-to-wear offering sits a range of tote bags, scarves, caps, key rings and small leather goods, each arriving with the same, visceral graphics. The collection’s color palette is understandably muted and monochromatic, arriving in a chic range of beige, black and white, truly letting the visuals speak for themselves.

The phrase “Feel free to say hi,” is one that sits at the heart of the capsule, encouraging approachability and friendliness throughout the month of Pride.

Take a look at what’s on offer above, and head to JW Anderson’s website to purchase the new collection.

In related news, Stella McCartney tapped Morena Salas and Mina Galan for its new Pride campaign.
