Besties, fall is quickly approaching. After what seems like a “meh” summer, we’re ready to move on from this szn and into our fall beauty trends. Each year, as we go into the cooler months, we revive those faithful hair, makeup and nail looks of the ’90s, reimagining them with each year. This year, we’re taking it back to the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC days and revamping the ’90s “Boy Band” bob.

What is the “Boy Band” Bob?

The ’90s “Boy Band” Bob aka “Boyfriend Bob,” is all about effortless layers and lengths. There are different ways to achieve the look but the most popular is having the hair shorter in the back with longer pieces in the front that fall right at the cheekbones or you can have it cut to layer out for a side-swept waterfall bob moment. The style can be worn in the most sophisticated or textured way, giving hella nostalgia.

How To Style The “Boy Band” Bob?

To maintain the look, a glossing shampoo incorporated into your hair wash routine would be best as it will keep the longevity of continuous shine throughout your tresses, allowing your hair to be silky and smooth. It’s also imperative to use a deep conditioning hair mask when washing your hair to ensure your locks stay strong.

Once you’re ready to style, we recommend blow-drying the hair with a round brush. However, it’s always best to consult with your dedicated hairstylist to achieve the best results for your hair type and texture.
