Rare Supreme x Nike SB Dunk High Samples Are up for Auction at JOOPITER
For the sneaker heads with deep pockets.
Pharrell Williams‘ auction house JOOPITER has just gotten its hands on extremely exclusive Supreme x Nike SB Dunk samples.
Acquired from well-known sneaker auction staple Ryan Chang, the three pairs have never been seen before, making it an instant collector’s item. Inspired by Nike’s 1986 “Be True to Your School” Dunk High colorways, the prototypes mirror the palette of the retail version of the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Highs, arriving in a true red, a deeper crimson iteration, alongside a baby blue option. The croc skin leather overlays and gold tongue tags also remain the same. While the publicly released sneakers bore gold stars on the lateral and medial quarter, the samples feature a repetitive gold Nike logo instead. The theory is that Supreme opted for the pattern as a part of the brand’s faux Louis Vuitton monogram print from 2001, but the Swoosh and the Nike SB team had creative differences.
For those of us with trust funds, each of the three pairs is being auctioned off separately and is estimated to sell from anywhere between $30,000 too $50,000 USD. Bidding opens on the JOOPITER’s online store September 26 and closes on August 3. Take a look in the gallery above.
