Salomon x Jah Jah Trek Through Senegal With the ACS Pro

Celebrating African and Caribbean communities.

French brand Salomon has joined forces with creative studio Jah Jah to not only introduce the ACS Pro, but bring the cultural traditions and mythology of West Africa to life.

Shot in Yoff, a coastal commune in Dakar, the captivating campaign tells the tale of Kankourang, a mystical entity that protects and preserves ancestral traditions, ensuring communities stay intact. The being is also said to defend against curses and threats, serving as a spiritual and literal guardian. Going beyond the average footwear collaboration, Salomon x Jah Jah’s union amplifies African and Caribbean communities.

Captured by creative director Daquisiline Gomis and director/photographer Otman Qrita, the ACS Pro sits comfortably within the expansive landscape. Its formidable silhouette is covered in a dominant black hue while red, green and yellow liven up the tongue, subtly nodding to the colors of the African Liberation Flag. A red heel tab harmonizes the entire shoe’s design.

The Salomon x Jah Jah ACS Pro is available on September 28 via Salomon’s online store for $230 USD. Take a look at the campaign in the gallery above.
